Your stay in New York City need not be pricey as you can still experience a little bit of luxury while sleeping soundly (and inexpensively) at night.

Travel Tip: Where to Find Affordable Hotels in New York City

With famous parks, superstructures and bridges in the Big Apple, it’s not a surprise why this attracts millions of travelers every year.

However, it seems to only offer the costliest accommodations in the country. So what do you do if you’re scrimping on your travel budget?

Read on to learn more about where to find affordable hotels when staying in NYC.

It can’t be denied how you’re expected to shell out more than $250 to get yourself a mid-range hotel room, while budget rooms and hostels could be booked for more or less $100. Nonetheless, Daily Mail UK Travel writer Chris Coplans lists some of the most affordable guest rooms in the city while not compromising the quality of your bed or the amount of sleep you get during the night (“Bargain Big Apple: Where to Lay Your Head for Less in the City that Never Sleeps”).

Here’s an excerpt from his article:

Two blocks west of Times Square on 10th Avenue in Hell’s Kitchen – rebranded as Clinton - is Yotel. Enter a Ridley Scott world of cabins, Mission Control and Yobots. The cabins have been brilliantly designed by the same team that designed Virgin’s Upper Class cabins and utilize every inch of space. There is free internet throughout the hotel and they’ve added great little touches like super quiet air-conditioning and convertible beds with storage for extra space… On the east side of Midtown, there are a couple of good options. The Pod Hotel ( has two locations, on E51st St between 1st and 2nd Avenue and on E39th between Lexington and 3rd Avenue. Rooms vary from single pods, to bunk bed rooms, queens and studios and start from as little as $109 (£69). Some of the cheapest rooms have shared bathrooms.
